Fit Learning Homeschool
The school environment can often be challenging for a child. Sometimes the challenge is so great that its detrimental effects outweigh the benefits of attending school. Additionally, there are times when a school placement fails to maximise a child’s full potential. In these cases, a Fit Learning Homeschool placement is one option a parent has to get a transformational change in their child’s learning and behaviour.
Fit Homeschool is a highly flexible program which is targeted to a specific student’s needs in core skill areas such as reading, mathematics and problem solving. Children attend Fit sessions from two to six hours per day, three to five days per week. Fit Learning homeschool enrolments entail intensive one-on-one academic and cognitive training.
All children home-schooled in Western Australia must be registered and approved with the WA Education Department. Fit Learning will assist you to obtain registration upon enrolment into Fit Homeschool. Additionally, Fit Learning develops an Individualised Education Plan which is submitted to the WA Education Department for your child. Additionally, we assist you to meet the requirements of evaluation meetings from the education department during your enrolment.
Our tuition-based model covers multiple elements such as
1) an instructional team overseen by Fit Learning’s Clinical Director,
2) reserved weekly time-slots,
3) daily review of your child’s learning charts,
4) weekly instructional team meetings to review your child’s learning charts, discuss and make instructional decisions regarding your child’s academic targets, and design new curriculum areas so that your child makes significant learning gains that have been a hallmark of the Fit Learning Method of Instruction for more than 2 decades.
How do I know Fit Homeschool is right for my child?
We want our parents to make informed decisions in relation to their child’s education. We frequently have parents come into our clinic to observe students who are already enrolled in our homeschool program in order to get a better understanding of the transformational outcomes that are possible through a Fit Homeschool enrolment.
Parents also may desire to book their child in for a Fit Comprehensive Skills Assessment in order to learn more about why their child is falling behind, and how Fit Learning can tailor an educational and behavioural intervention for their child.
